I was at the post office today and realized first class stamps are going up a penny in three weeks. Check the USPS news updates to keep track of this stuff (http://www.usps.com/prices/welcome.htm?from=bannercommunications&page=pr...). All you people planning weddings right now need to keep track of the rate increases. There were three rate increases during the time of my engagement. One increase happened in between waves of Save-the-Date announcements we sent out and affected our square envelopes big time (FYI square envelopes have higher charges than envelopes with differing lengths and widths).
So heads up on any engagement party, save-the-dates, bachelorette parties, bridal showers, wedding newsletters or invites. Also keep an eye out for the unique stamps that can fit your postage needs. Our wedding was in Costa Rica and I found a sweet USPS stamp from the Scenic American Landscapes collection for 90 cents with a tropical scene but we did not need that much postage.

Good luck and I hope this helps some of you as one more thing to keep in mind.

LOL...The almighty dollar...
I'm totally worthy of it♥
1Wish you'd get better service for all these rate increases.
2Gas prices, food prices..STAMP prices...what ISN"T going up today? My salary prices!
3The food and stamp prices are linked to the rise in gas prices. I'm telling you, with crude hitting $118/barrel this week I am bracing myself for one of the next stamp increases to be like a whopping five cents or something.
4Much appreciated as my "Save the Date" cards arrive tomorrow.
5Wouldn't that be a nightmare if you mailed out all the invitations and they all came back to you?!!!! ACK!
