I've really got to hand it to Boucheron for being so daring, decadent and creative with their Les Fiances Engagement Ring!
The setting is made from white gold and is crafted in the shape of a human hand. Since it is engagement week, I thought I'd share this unique ring with you.
The ring is available exclusively in Boucheron stores worldwide and the cost depends on the size of the diamond you choose.
How do you feel about it? Would you be excited or totally disappointed if your boyfriend proposed with this ring in hand?

Post a CommentI kind of like it. Its a little flashy, and a bit big. But why not? I am a huge fan of silver/platinum engagement or wedding bands. I'm not a huge gold person.
It was nice until i noticed the hand
Yeah, I kinda like it too. I chose Love It just because I don't Hate It. Its original. And its shiny, so whats not to like!
Hate it. Engagement rings shouldn't have a novelty to it. I think they should be more classic and timeless considering it will be worn for a lifetime.
im with lala..i liked it and thought it was different and then i noticed it was a hand...thats just weird!
Having gone through about a million different phases and crazes related to design of all sorts this scares the hell out of me. Not that everyone should go with a solitaire or a three-stone but I think anything that screams rather than suggests, "I'm unusual" is a bad idea for something you would wear everyday for the rest of your life.
too bad there are no other pics... i'd love to see it on a hand or from the top... its geometry is pretty neat from this angle but i'm worried it might be set too high...
I'd really like to see a top view, too. I kinda love it, but SweetPeasMom has a good point.
i voted i love it, but as soon as i click vote i noticed that hand... and now i take it back i do not love it
It's a cool idea but it's still ugly.
yeah it was really pretty until I realized that ... it uh. has a hand. that's creepy.
I chose I hate it. I hate it for an engagement ring but it would be kinda cool otherwise...
I love it, i'm not a traditional girl. My only problem with it is that it seems to be set pretty high, it looks like it would easy get knocked off of things and banged around. No good.

The hand idea is interesting but I feel it may work better as a necklace. I can't help but think that it would just get caught on everything since it sticks out so much.
Um, no. nonono.
If my husband had given me this ring I think I would have been very, very confused.
Lol maggie mae! I agree with flickster - I think it looks super creepy, something out of an Ayn Rand novel.
I voted hated it but I like some other people I wouldn't mind it as a fun novelty ring. I could see wearing it every once in a while but for something as important that you wear everyday I wouldn't like it.
This is creepy.
Yeah, the hand is kind of creepy. If it was just some really interesting design...but no. It's a hand.
No thanks....... it's pretty ugly
well, I don't like it at all, but I have a very classic ring--an oval flanked by two tapered baguettes. I agree with those who say an engagement ring should be timeless.
I think that using the hand as the setting overwhelms the stone, and well, you're not paying for the setting. And particularly with an engagement ring, you almost want the setting to disappear into the stones. I agree with cassandrasnow, though, that it would make a fantastic necklace.
I loved it.... until I noticed that weird hand!
i absoloutley love it!!
i loved it and didnt notice the hand. thats weird.
Tanning is not a skin color, Brian, its a lifestyle.
I'd break it off or scrape it within a week. I like the shape, but not to wear, more as a sculptural piece.

that ring is really.. crazy looking!!! i'd buy it for myself and wear it, but i'd be really disappointed if someone gave it to me.
I like jewelry that no one else or other people rarely see or own so I like it but I can't say that I would love it either.
I love it! The hand def. makes it more unique.
I don't know if I'd want one myself though, although I like
unique things I think I'd go for something more feminine when it comes to engagement rings. After all, you're suppoed to have it for a long time.

i think its really funky and cool for people who dont conform to the waspy or whatever lifestyle
I like it, the traditional engagement ring had gotten a bit boring
