I need some serious help. I'm engaged to a norwegian and it's customary for the groom-to-be to have an engagement ring. I love this idea, because of his job he travels a lot and I like the thought of him looking down at his ring and thinking of me. The problem is, where to get one? All I seem to find is very ornate and slightly feminine signet rings. Can anyone give me any ideas where I might find one?

A few of my male friends have had engagement rings. They've all had a fair amount of stones and have been gold. It would also depend on your fiance's taste. I like two tone bands if he would like something a little different. And a lot of them have smaller diamonds set in that aren't as large as other's I've seen in male engagement rings. Hopefully a jewelry store near you would be able to help, sometimes the smaller ones have a more diverse selection. If not, here's a link online. One of the couples I know had there's made, and that shouldn't be any more expensive.

Thanks a lot UTnikki81... that's a lot of help!
michael c fina has a million men's rings. It also could be nice to do the cartier trinity ring.... thought that is kind of pricey
Wow i never knew there was such a thing for men. I wonder whats the custom for Sweden.
David Yurman makes some nice men's rings. Some with diamonds too. My colleague, whose future wife is Turkish, has taken to wearing his real wedding band, but on the other (right) hand. Then during the ceremony he moves it to his left.
You can try Kay's Jewelers. That's where we got my fiance's engagement ring. They have a nice selection of rings for men.
My Honey's engagement ring came from here http://www.titaniumera.com the do mostly mens rings and almost everything is customizable. Guys are rough on their hands so I didn't want something that would scratch easily. I got a ring the was very uniquely him.
we went to a jade jeweler and got it custom made. It's his wedding band, but he wears it now, because I figure if I got a ring, why shouldn't he wear one too? It's black jade, really thick, about an inch wide and has his last name in Japanese kanji engraved into it. It is beautiful and absolutely him. He's not a platinum/silver ring kind of guy. If you are interested, I can give you the e-mail of the jeweler that did it.
My Fiance` and I recently went to a Native American PoWo, anyhow were looking at the jewlely a few venders had for sale and he found a ring he liked. No pressure and very natural. maybe one will find you good luck!
thanks everyone... I really appreciate the suggestions!

I just got married recently. I found a site called http://www.perryolsen.com that has a unique assortment of rings. I settled on a braided two tone ring which I am very happy with. Good Luck!
