I love mine, they're like a second set of parents.
1yeah i have some advice; 1) a man with no family is "dream man" material; snatch him up. 2) in-laws are a pain in the ass. live far away and don't have a guest room so they can't stay with you. 3) make your dh tell them the bad stuff (we aren't coming for christmas) and you do the same with your parents. 4) remember #1.
2lickety split--- i agree with you on number 2.
3i love my soon-to-be-in-laws! they're really really great people.

Advice:
1. Be kind and respectful. Remember to treat his mother the way you would like someone to treat your mother.
2. Don't be afraid to say (nicely) when you're not comfortable with something.
also, in-laws are not only the parents of your spouse but the siblings as well... and you know, if they decide to turn the heat on you--- well you get the idea.
5my soon to be inlaws are driving me insane and well im learning to deal but they like me barley but they can like me or hate me but i wish they would learn to like me. im a good person who doesnt eat meat and they think its weird or something because this one time when i went to there house they acted as if i wasnt good because i dont eat meat. it not that big of a deal for some people and chris my fiance love that im into all of the organic and not a meat eater.why cant they be like him and learn to except me!!
