So you're getting hitched! Congratulations. Now comes all the fun stuff: the engagement party, dress shopping, wedding planning, gifts, the honeymoon and so much more. Save-the-date cards are your guests' first glimpse into what type of wedding celebration you are hosting. Whether you are planning an all-out black tie affair or a simple, low-key event, your save-the-date cards should complement your big day. These are sent both as a courtesy to your guests and as insurance that after all your careful planning, those who matter will show up to help make the most of your big day. If you choose not to send Save-the-Date announcements, plan on mailing your invitations eight weeks in advance of your wedding date.

Classic:
Dauphine Press styles can be coordinated with their invitations, announcements, programs, menus, maps and more. You can start playing around with pricing and styles and receive samples. The company website is detailed, well organized and easy to navigate - though pricing is a bit hard to determine.

Modern:
Fabulous Stationery is bright and colorful and sure to make your wedding date pop! Browse their Couples designs, pick a color scheme, and type in your text. These are from $35-55 a set.
Somewhere in-between:
Wedding Paper Divas is my favorite of the three. Accommodating many styles, these are also well priced at $1.30-$1.84 per card. These designs come in other colors, and you can carry the theme over into your invitations and thank yous.

I wanted to share our save the dates and the wonderful company where we got them. Here is a photo of the save the date (http://tinyurl.com/2hal6c). It's printed on textured cream colored card stock with brown and "citrine" green accents.
It's a "brooke" from one of the beautiful "pre-packed" options from www.creativemontage.com. They are so reasonably priced and lovely. Check them out if you're still looking for save the dates, invitations or monograms.
1very pretty, b.bride! I love the colors and the fonts
2I am actually looking for cute lingerie shower invites as we speak.
3We made our own save the date cards! I used Photoshop, created the layout and used one of our engagement portraits and had them printed at a local printing press on cardstock. It cost around $30.00 for 200!
4I made my own too. I made a great collage using our baby pictures, a picture of us now and some tidbits of thigns we knew were going to be incorporated into the wedding and then printed out the collage on one side and the details on the other. I used the postcard stock you can buy at Office Depot, which was super cheap and easy.
5Dauphine Press did my wedding invitations! They were beautiful. Great source Fab!
6These are really nice. My mom went into this whole, "You should make it yourself" and that's another pain in the butt. Sorry Mom, had to tell everyone about it (hee hee).
