We've been married going on six years. We've been through a lit with him being in the military, with all the deployments, time in the field and all the normal bs that goes with being married to the military. We had a very small wedding and it wasn't exactly the day of dreams, like most people expect their wedding day to be. It was planned on a shoe string budget and all thrown together with in like a month. I really want to renew our vows after my husband gets out of the military. I want the opportunity to have a nice reception with all of our friends and family. Is this stupid???
It's sweet, deffinately go for it....

I'll be doing it on my 5 year wedding anniversary
1i think it's really sweet
2I think its a really sweet idea! My mom & dad renewed their vows after 25 years & it was so sweet! you don't have to do it all big & crazy but you should take every oppertunity to celebrate w/ friends & family!
3that was kinda cheesy, but I don't care
That's would be good idea to renewing
and have fun
4not stupid at all! It's a wonderful way to get the kind of celebration that you wanted but couldn't have. We'll do it for our 10th anniversary and you can bet I'll even wear my veil which my husband had to hide after the wedding because I wanted to wear it the whole time during our honeymoon!

5Well if it's stupid, then I'm stupid because my husband and I just renewed our vows after 10 years last September.
We're also military and since we're stationed in Germany we decided to take advantage of the beautiful scenery. You can see a couple of our pictures in my
photo album if you'd like mrsjacki. We had the ceremony in a castle on the Rhine river. The castle is called Castle Gutenfels. You can google it to see it better. It is also a hotel so we got
to spend the night. It was really cool.
6I love the idea. I think people should do it every year.
7I
this idea! I def think you should go for it!!
8Go for it.
Sabor, Estilo, Amor Curioso de Moda
9I think it's a really lovely thing to do. Definitely do it.
10It's something that should be meaninful for YOU TWO, not what the people think of that. If you feel you want this, go for it!
11I think that it's a wonderful idea! Marriage can be a beautiful thing........so share it with those that you care about most!
12I think it's romantic. If we ever do that we'd probably just have the wedding we wish we'd had the first time around, in Vegas with just the two of us
13Don't let anything stop you!!! I think it's absolutely the sweetest most romantic gesture, also a celebration of your love and committment to each other. How could that ever be a stupid idea. When my husband and I reach our tenth anniversary we intend to renew ours as well. Congratulations to both of you and Good Luck!!!!!
That bouquet in the picture above is beautiful and is also an exact copy of the one I held on my wedding day except the color of the roses were white and yellow with satin and chiffon ribbon wrapped around the stems.
14I agree with everyone else
I am sure army matters put stress on things I think it'd be an important thing to do something like that to re-establish that spark you two had before all this went down
Best of luck to you!
15I completely agree. Reaffirming your vows after all you've been through will not only celebrate you as a couple but also his exit from the army. Best of luck to you!
16I think that's a great idea!
I'm in a military relationship too.
